«Այս շարժումը հենց այս սերնդի շարժումն է»: «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման առաջին համագումարի ժամանակ հայտարարեց Շարժման համակարգող խորհրդի ղեկավար Արման Վարդանյանը:
«Սա գաղափարական սերնդափոխություն է: Սա ոչ միայն մեր սերնդի, այլև ապագա սերունդների շարժումն է, բայց այն մարդկանց համար, ովքեր յուրովի ու նորովի են պատկերացնում Հայաստանի զարգացումը: Մենք մեր ավագ սերնդին շատ բանով ենք պարտական, որը մեզ համար իրականում շատ բան է արել. Հայաստանի անկախացումը, երկու հայկական պետությունների կայացումը, արցախյան ազատամարտը, որտեղ ավագ սերնդի ներկայացուցիչները փայլուն հաղթանակ տարան… մենք դարձանք հենց այդ հաղթանակի սերունդը, բայց պետք է խոստովանենք, որ պետության այսօրվա իրավիճակը ցույց է տալիս, որ մեր ավագ սերնուդը մի քիչ հոգնել է, հոգնել է թե´ իր աշխատանքից, և ինչու ոչ՝ նաև պայքարից»,- ասաց նա:
Արման Վարդանյանի խոսքով՝ այսօր Հայաստանին պետք են նոր դեմքեր, նոր գաղափարներ ու նոր մոտեցումներ, մի խոսքով՝ այն ներուժը, որն ի վիճակի կլինի պայքարել ու երկրում ինչ-որ բան փոխել: «Այսօր մեզ պետք են երկիրը սիրող, խնդիրների մասին հոգացող երիտասարդներ, ովքեր իսկապես կկարողանան երկիրն այս վիճակից դուրս բերել և բնականոն սերնդափոխություն ապահովել: Սա հաղթանակած սերնդի շարժում է, որը պետք է կարողանա իր ուժերի ներածին չափով ու իր գործուն ու խոսուն քայլերով՝ երկրում առկա խնդիրների համար լուծում գտնել»,- ասաց նա:
Շարունակելով խոսքը՝ նա հայտարարեց նաև, որ անկախ դիրքորոշումից՝ կապ չունի՝ մարդը ընդդիմադիր է, իշխանամետ, թե անկախ՝ իրենց հետաքրքրում է միայն այդ մարդկանց գաղափարները: «Մենք կարող ենք քննադատել այս կամ այն մոտեցումը, տնտեսական ու հասարակական խնդիրը, բայց պարտավոր ենք հարգել մեր երկու պետությունները: Մեր հայրենիքը, որը ոչ միայն Հայաստանն է, այլև՝ Արցախը: Մենք պարտավոր ենք մեր ամենօրյա աշխատանքով նպաստել նաև Արցախի հզորացմանը: Առանց Արցախ՝ Հայաստանը չի կարող անկախ լինել, առանց Արցախ՝ Հայաստանը չի կարող գոյատևել, առանց Արցախ՝ հայը չի կարող հաղթանակած լինել... Մենք շատ ենք խոսել ու քննադատել, որ երկրում կա կոռուպցիա, աղքատություն, որ այսօր շատերն իրենց ապագան չեն տեսնում Հայաստանում…. Մենք չենք քննադատելու, չենք պախարակելու, բայց մեր գործուն քայլերով անելու ենք ամեն ինչ, որպեսզի բոլորն իրենց ապագան տեսնեն ոչ միայն Հայաստանում, այլև Արցախում, որպեսզի բոլորն իրենց ապագան կառուցեն հայրենիքում, ոչ թե ինտեգրվեն օտարության մեջ ու մոռանան, որ իրենք հայ են»,- եզրափակեց նա:
