Բուլղարիայի Սոֆիա քաղաքում մեկնարկած սամբոյի 2016թ. Աշխարհի առաջնության առաջին օրը ասպարեզ է դուրս եկել վեց հայ մարզիկ: Նրանցիցի Ասյա Լալազարյանը (48կգ քաշային կարգ) և Տիգրան Կիրակոսյանը (52կգ քաշային կարգ) Հայաստանի համար նվաճել են բրոնզե մեդալներ:
