Facebook-ի ստեղծող Մարկ Ցուկերբերգը պատասխանել Է քննադատների այն կշտամբանքներին, թե սոցիալական ցանցում կեղծ նորությունների հոսքն Է իբր դարձել այն գործոններից մեկը, որն ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահական ընտրություններում ապահովեց Դոնալդ Թրամփի հաղթանակը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:
«Այն միտքը, թե Facebook-ում կեղծ նորություններն ինչ-որ կերպ ազդել են ընտրությունների արդյունքի վրա, բավականին անհեթեթ Է»,- ասել Է Ցուկերբերգը՝ ելույթ ունենալով Կալիֆոռնիայում կայացած խորհրդաժողովում:
ԱՄՆ-ի լիբերալ շրջաններում տարածում Է ստանում այն մտայնությունը, թե հենց սոցցանցերն են հնարավորություն ընձեռել Դոնալդ Թրամփին իր գաղափարները հասցնելու ընտրողների լայն շրջանին: Առանց սոցիալական ցանցերի նա նման հնարավորությունից զրկված կլիներ, ասում են քննադատները:
Որոշ տվյալներ ցույց են տալիս, որ մտացածին նորությունները շատ ավելի արագորեն եւ լայնորեն Էին տարածվում սոցցանցերում, քան դրանց հաջորդող մերկացումները:
