Ավելի վաղ NBC News հեռուստաալիքը, հղում անելով ամերիկյան հետախուզության անանուն ներկայացուցչի և գաղտնի փաստաթղթերի, հայտնել էր, որ ամերիկացի «ռազմական ցանցահենները» ներթափանցել են ռուսական ենթակառուցվածք և պատրաստ են «հարված հասցնել, եթե պահանջվի»:

ՌԴ նախագահի մամլո քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը, մեկնաբանելով կիբերսպառնալիքների մասին տեղեկությունները, RIA Novosti-ին ասել է, որ Մոսկվան միջոցներ է ձեռնարկում տեղեկատվական անվտանգության համար սպառնալիքների համապատասխանող մակարդակով:
