«Մորտոնի մատ»՝ ոտնաթաթի կառուցվածքի ձև, որի դեպքում երկրորդ մատը երկար է առաջինից: Այս երևույթը հանդիպում է մարդկանց ընդամենը 10%-ի մոտ, և այն բացարձակ ոչ մի անհարմարություն չի ստեղծում մարդու մոտ, եթե ճիշտ կոշիկ է ընտրված: Իրականում այսպիսի յուրահատկություն ունեցող մարդիկ կարող են իրենց հաջողակ համարել, որովհետև այսպիսի ոտնաթաթը ավելի դիմացկուն է, այն կրող մարդն ունի ամուր կամք և կենսական մեծ էներգիա:

Հին հույներն ու հռոմեացիները ոտնաթաթի հենց այս ձևն են համարել էսթետիկայի չափանիշ և իրենց արձանների վրա այս կերպ են քանդակել մարդու ոտնաթաթը: Եվրոպայում այսպիսի ոտնաթաթը համարվում էր արիստոկրատության ու արքայական ծագման ցուցանիշ:

«Մորտոնի մատը» գենետիկ ժառանգականության արդյունք է և իր վերջնական դրսևորումը ստանում է մարդու սեռահասունացման փուլում: Սովորաբար տղամարդիկ ավելի ուշ են այս առումով հասունանում, քան կանայք: Եվ եթե պատանու կամ աղջկա մոտ այն արդեն ձևավորված է, նշանակում է, որ անձը արդեն սեռահասուն է: Իսկ ի՞նչ կարող է հուշել նման առանձնահատկությունը այն կրողի  մասին:

Եթե մարդու մոտ ոտնաթաթի երկրորդ մատն ավելի երկար է, քան առաջինը, նշանակում է

1. Ընտանիքում նա կլինի ղեկավարը: Ի դեպ, Հնդկաստանում հարս ուզելիս կանայք անպայման ուշադրություն են դարձնում այս հանգամանքին և հնարավորինս բացառում են նման ոտնաթաթով աղջկա ամուսնությունն իրենց որդու հետ, որպեսզի իրենց որդին ապագայում կնոջ կրունկի տակ չապրի:

2. Սեռական ակտիվության առումով նման մատի կրողները դոմինանտ են լինում ամուսնական հարաբերություններում: Եվ այստեղ հարց է առաջանում՝ արդյո՞ք սեռական առումով զույգը համատեղելի է, թե՞ ոչ:

3. Այսպիսի մատ ունեցող աղջիկները ընտանիքում մշտապես պայքարում են իրենց իրավունքների ու հավասարության համար:

4. Եթե դու տղա ես և քո ընտրյալն ունի ոտնաթաթի այս առանձնահատկությունը, ապա այս պահից իսկ արդեն հարմարվիր այն մտքին, որ նա երբեք չի լինելու քո մայրիկի ամենասիրելի հարսիկը:

5. Համառ, պայքարող, սեփական իրավունքներն իմացող ու իր դերը չթերագնահատող.այսպես կարել է բնութագրել կնոջը, ով ունի «Մորտոնի մատ»:
