Սիրելի ընկերներ, այս օրերին, երբ փոքրիկ Մարիամիկի ընտանիքի դեպքը մարդկանց սրտերում վերք է բացել, ինձ այլ ընտանիքների հարցով են դիմում անծանոթներ ու ընկերներ, որոնցից գեթ մեկի կողքով անտարբեր անցնել չես կարողանա, հատկապես այս մեկի, որի մասին ներկայացրեց հիրավի ազնիվ, նվիրյալ ու խոնարհ հոգևորական Սմբատ սարկավագը:
Ընտանիքն ապրում է Տավուշի մարզի սահմանամերձ Այգեհովիտ գյուղում: Գյուղ, որի վրա վերջին Ապրիլյան քառօրյայի օրերին հակառակորդի տանկից արձակված արկեր են անգամ ընկել: Եվ մեր ոչ բարով թշնամու նշանառության տակ մեծացող 9 հոգանոց նեղ ու նաչար, տնանկ հայ ընտանիքի 7 անչափահաս երեխաներից 6 ապագա զինվորների ճանապարհն արդեն կյանքի համար մղվող պատերազմներում է անցնում, եթե չխոսենք նաև փոքրիկ հայուհու՝ նրանց արևաչուկ քույրիկի դառը ճակատագրից: Այսօր աշխարհի լրահոսը խոսում է Մերձավոր Արևելքի մանուկներից, այնինչ մեր սեփական Հայրենիքում կյանքի համար ոչ պակաս պայքար մղող ընտանիքներ ու երեխաներ կան, ովքեր զրկված են ամենատարրական պայմաններից: Իսկ ո՞վ է նրանց հիշողը: Եվ եթե չկան՝ եկեք մենք հիշենք, հիշե՛նք, որ վաղն էլ երկիր պաշտպանող զինվոր ունենանք, հիշե՛նք, որ վաղն էլ մենք մեր օջախի տերը մնանք, հիշե՛նք, որովհետև մեր փոխարեն ուրիշ էլ ո՛չ ոք դա չի անելու: Սա մեր պատվի հարցն է: Եվ մարդ ուղղակի անձնական ողբերգություն է ապրում՝ ամեն անգամ առնչվելով նման պատմությունների հետ: Այսպես մինչև ե՞րբ, ե՜րբ...
