 Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի աշխատակազմում կրճատումներ չեն եղել: Ազգային ժողովում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ՀՀ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Արման Թաթոյանն ասաց, որ ինքը սկզբունքորեն դեմ է և հայտարարել է, որ աշխատակազմում կրճատումներ չեն անելու: «Խոսք լինել չի կարող նաև մարզային գրասենյակները փակելու մասին: Հակառակը՝ մենք նախատեսում ենք ևս երկու մա րզերում արագ արձագանքման գրասենյակներ բացել: Խոսքը Տավուշի և Լոռու մարզերի մասին է»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ նշեց Թաթոյանը:

Անդրադառնալով դիտարկմանը, որ 2017թ. պետական բյուջեի նախագծով ՄԻՊ գրասենյակին հատկացվող միջոցները կրճատվել են 4.3 միլիոն դրամով՝ Արման Թաթոյանն ընդգծեց, որ այդ առումով բոլոր առարկություններն արդեն ներկայացրել է ՀՀ ֆինանսների նախարարություն, և դրանք մեծամասամբ ընդունվել են ու կներառվեն պետական բյուջեի վերջնական տարբերակում: Նա ընդգծեց, որ «Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի գործունեության մասին» նոր օրենքով նախատեսված են ՄԻՊ աշխատակազմի աշխատակիցների աշխատավարձերի բարձրացում և սոցիալական երաշխիքների ապահովում, իսկ դրանց ապահովման համար նաև ֆինանսական միջոցներ են անհրաժեշտ:

Արման Թաթոյանի սկզբունքային մոտեցումն է՝ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի աշխատակազմի աշխատակիցը չպետք է ավելի ցածր աշխատավարձ ստանա, քան ցանկացած նախարարության կամ դատարանի աշխատակազմի աշխատող: «Եվ քանի որ նոր օրենքով հիմնարար լուծումներ են լինելու, մեր բյուջեն պետք է զգալիորեն ավելանա: Մեզ համար այս հարցում կարևոր է նաև պատգամավորների աջակցությունը»,- եզրափակեց Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը:
