Տղամարդիկ չեն սիրում շատ շպարված կանանց: Նման եզրակացության են հանգել Ուելսի Բենգոր համալսարանի հետազոտողները: Business Standard-ի փոխանցմամբ, Ուելսի գիտնականները կանանց խորհուրդ չեն տալիս ակտիվորեն կոսմետիկ միջոցներ օգտագործել, քանի որ դրանք վանում են տղամարդկանց: Հարցումների համաձայն, տղամարդիկ նախընտրում են առավելագույնս թեթեւ կամ ընդհանրապես առանց դիմահարդարման կանանց:
Ընդհանուր առմամբ, նրանք նախընտրում են այն կանանց, որոնց դեմքին 40 տոկոսով քիչ են կոսմետիկ միջոցները: Բժիշկ-հոգեբան Ալեքս Ջոնսն ասում է, որ այս եզրակացության են հանգել սոցիալական ցանցերում «առանց դիմահարդարման» լուսանկարների հանդեպ արձագանքների հիման վրա: Մարդիկ հաճախ սխալ են մեկնաբանում այն, ինչը հակառակ սեռի ներկայացուցիչը գրավիչ է համարում: Սա հիմնականում վերաբերվում է կանանց, ովքեր փորձում են գրավել տղամարդկանց:

Ավելին, կանանց 1/3-ը զուգընկերոջից ավելի վաղ է արթնանում, որպեսզի աննկատ դիմահարդարվի: Կանանց 60%-ն ընդհանրապես չի մաքրում շպարը, եթե զուգընկերոջ կողքին է քնում: 20%-ն առաջին գիշերվա համար հատուկ թարմացնում է դիմահարդարումը: Ի դեպ, յուրաքանչյուր հինգերորդ կին, հարաբերություններից նույնիսկ 6 ամիս անց, նույն կերպ է վարվում:
Կանանց 58%-ը վախենում է առանց դիմահարդարման երեւալ, քանի որ վստահ է. կոսմետիկ միջոցները զարդարում են իրեն, 28%-ը բողոքում է ցածր ինքնագնահատականից, 12%-ը վախենում է, որ զուգընկերն առաջվա պես ուժեղ իրեն չի ցանկանա, իսկ 2%-ը խոսում է հարաբերությունների հնարավոր դադարեցման մասին:
