Այս տարվա օգոստոսին Շիրակի մարզում ավելի շատ աղջիկ է ծնվել: Մարզի բոլոր բուժհաստատություններում ընդհանուր գրանցված 331 ծնվածներիից 168-ն արու զավակ է եղել, մյուսները՝ աղջիկ: Ծնվածներից 7-ը զույգեր են: Չնայած տարբերությունն այդքան էլ մեծ չէ՝ 2 երեխա, սակայն, պայմանավորված ծնվողների սեռի վերջին տարիներին գրանցված տարբերությամբ, սա ևս մասնագետները հուսադրող են համարում: Ի դեպ, 2015 թվականի առաջին ութ ամիսներին Շիրակի մարզի բուժհաստատություններում գրանցված 2130 ծնվածներից 843 տղա էին, 1042-ը' աղջիկ:

Պատկերը տարբեր էր անցած տարիներին՝ 2011-2014 թվականներին. մարզում 15 հազար 278 ծնվածներից 8 հազար 239-ը է եղել տղա, իսկ աղջիկները' 7202՝ 1037-ով պակաս տղաներից, ինչն, անխոս, արդեն իսկ մտահոգիչ է: Ի դեպ, ծնվածներից 163-ը զույգեր են: Փորձագետների գնահատմամբ' խնդիրը բազմաշ երտ է, բայց հիմքում աղջիկների նկատմամբ տղա երեխաների ունեցած գերապատվությունն է մեր հասարակության մեջ, ինչի արդյունքում առաջ է գալիս ոչ միայն գենդերային, կամ ժողովրդագրական, այլ ավելի վատ՝ ազգային անվտանգության խնդիրը: Թեեւ այսօր հանարպետությունում մեծ թափով իրականացվում է «Պտղի սեռի խտրական ընտրության դեմ պայքար» ծրագիրը, սակայն դեռ անելիքներ շատ կան այդ ուղղությամբ: Նախ և առաջ, ծնողներն իրենք պետք է գիտակցեն, որ տղայի կամ աղջկա տարբերություն չպետք է լինի: Բացի դրանից, հղիության արհեստական ընդհատումը, մասնավորապես, պտղի սեռ ով պայմանավորված արհեստական ընդհատումը (սելեկտիվ աբորտ)՝ ծանր հետևանքներ ունի ժողովրդի և երկրի համար:
