Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի թեկնածու Դոնալդ Թրամփն այն կարծիքին Է, որ ամերիկյան գործնականում բոլոր ԶԼՄ-ները ծայրաստիճան կանխակալ վերաբերմունք ունեն իր նկատմամբ՝ միտումնավոր ընտրողների առջեւ իրեն ներկայացնելով աննպաստ լույսի ներքո: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս կարծքը միլիարդատերը հայտնել Է հոկտեմբերի 27-ի երեկոյան Fox News հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում:
«Կարծում եմ, որ նյութերի 93 տոկոսը, որոնք ԶԼՄ-ները հրապարակում եմ իմ մասին, բացասական են,- ասել Է նա:- Նույնիսկ եթե նյութը դրական Է, նրանք միշտ Էլ այն բացասական գույներով ներկայացնելու հնար են գտնում»:
Associated Press ի գործակալությունը հոկտեմբերի 27-ին հրապարակել Է հարցման արդյունքները, որոնց համաձայն՝ հարցվածների 56 տոկոսի կարծիքով՝ ամերիկյան ԶԼՄ-ները կանխակալ վերաբերմունք ունեն Թրամփի նկատմամբ: Հարցվածների միային 5 տոկոսն Է համարել, որ լրատվամիջոցներն ընդհանուր առմամբ աջակցում են Թրամփին եւ նրան ներկայացնում շահեկան կողմով: Հարցման մասնակիցների 37 տոկոսի կարծիքով՝ ԶԼՄ-ները ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահական մրցարշավը լուսաբանում են անաչառ ու հավասարակշռված, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
