Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի հրավերով շաբաթ երեկոյան պետական այցով Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն է ժամանել Մալթայի Ինքնիշխան Մարտական Ուխտի Արքայազն և մեծ վարպետ Ֆրա Մեթյու Ֆեսթինգը: 

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ՀՀ Նախագահի նստավայրում հոկտեմբերի 24-ին տեղի է ունեցել Նորին Վսեմություն Արքայազն և մեծ վարպետ Ֆրա Մեթյու Ֆեսթինգի և նրա գլխավորած պատվիրակության դիմավորման պաշտոնական արարողությունը, որին հաջորդել է Հայաստանի Նախագահի և Մեծ վարպետի հանդիպումը ընդլայնված կազմով՝ երկու երկրների պաշտոնական պատվիրակությունների մասնակցությամբ: 

«Ձե՛րդ Վսեմություն, ես առանձնակի ջերմո ւթյամբ եմ ողջունում Ձեզ Հայաստանում: Ինձ համար մեծ պատիվ է հյուրընկալել Ձեզ և Ձեր գլխավորած հարգարժան պատվիրակությանը: Մալթայի Ինքնիշխան Մարտական Ուխտի մեծ վարպետի այցը Հայաստան շատ կարևոր իրադարձություն է մեր դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների պատմության մեջ, և այն, վստահ եմ, մեզ հնարավորություն կտա մեր համագործակցությունն ակտիվացնելու: 

Աշխարհի առաջին քրիստոնյա ժողովրդի և քրիստոնյա հնագույն ուխտի առնչությունները դեռևս խաչակիրների արշավանքների ժամանակ ձևավորվել էին փոխադարձ հարգանքի և փոխշահավետության հիման վրա: Մենք ունենք նույնակունք քրիստոնեական արժեհամակարգ, և սրանք այն հիմքերն են, որ մեզ այսօր հնարավորություն են տալիս ձևավորելու ակտիվ միջպետական հարաբերություններ: Տեղյակ եմ, որ Դուք հագեցած օրակարգով ակտիվ այց եք անցկացնում մեր երկրում: Հուսով եմ, որ հնարավորություն կունենաք այդ ընթացքում ծանոթանալու մեր ժողովրդին, քրիստոնեական մեր մշակույթին, որն ինչ-որ տեղ նման է ընդհանուր քրիստոնեական մշակույթին, բայց նաև յուրատիպ է, առանձնահատուկ: Բարով եք եկել Հայաստան»,-ողջույնի խոսքում ասել է Հանրապետության Նախագահը: 

Մալթայի Ինքնիշխան Մարտական Ուխտի Արքայազն և մեծ վարպետ Ֆրա Մեթյու Ֆեսթինգը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՀՀ Նախագահին ջերմ խոսքերի ու հյուրընկալության համար և կարևորել իր պետական այցը Հայաստան՝ երկկողմ հարաբերություններն ավելի ամրապնդելու տեսանկյունից: «Ես, իսկապես, հիացած էի, երբ հնարավորություն ունեցա Ձեզ հանդիպելու Սուրբ Պետրոսի տաճարում, երբ Դուք ժամանեցիք մասնակցելու Հայոց ցեղասպանության Սուրբ նահատակների հիշատակին նվիրված պատարագին: Եվ ես կարծում եմ, որ հատկապես կարևոր է, որպեսզի քրիստոնյա ազգերի և քրիստոնեական կազմակերպությունների ներկայաց ուցիչները կարողանան որքան հնարավոր է սերտ համագործակցություն հաստատել միմյանց հետ այս ժամանակներում հաստատված և իշխող աշխարհիկ բարքերի պայմաններում: Դա հատկապես կարևոր է այն արտակարգ հիմնախնդիրների առումով, որոնց մենք այժմ հանդիպում ենք, մասնավորապես՝ միգրացիոն հոսքերի, փախստականների խնդիրների, նրանց տեղաշարժերի: Կարծում եմ, այս համատեքստում խիստ անհրաժեշտ է, որպեսզի մենք մշտապես շփվենք, տեսակետներ փոխանակենք և համադրենք մեր մոտեցումները: Եվ հենց այդ պատճառով է, որ այս հարաբերություններն այդքան կարևոր են»,-ՀՀ Նախագահի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ ասել է Նորին Վսեմություն Արքայազն և մեծ վարպետ Ֆրա Մեթյու Ֆեսթինգը:
