Եվրամիությունը և միջազգային այլ կազմակերպություններ հուսով են, որ ապրիլյան դեպքերից հետո ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում հրադադարը կպահպանվի: Այս մասին Արցախի  արտաքին գործերի նախարար Կարեն Միրզոյանի հետ հանդիպումից հետո լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանն ասաց ԵՄ հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Հերբերտ Զալբերը:

«Դժբախտաբար, հրադադարը կոպտորեն խախտվեց, և, կարծում եմ, որ հնարավորություն կլինի կանխել ապրիլյան դեպքերի հնարավոր կրկնությունը, քանի որ հրադադարի պահպանումը շատ կարևոր բաղադրիչ է խաղաղ բանակցությունների համար: Ես հուսով եմ, որ ապրիլյան դեպքերը  չեն կրկնվի»,-ասաց Հերբեր Զալբերը: Ինչ վերաբերում է ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում վերջին դիվերսիոն փորձին, ապա Հերբեր Զալբերը նշեց, որ տարբեր աղբյուներից որոշ չափով տեղյակ է դրա մասին, սակայն դիրքորոշում հայտն ելու համար անհրաժեշտ է ունենալ ավելի շատ տեղեկատվություն:

Անդրադառնալով Արցախի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Կարեն Միրզոյանի հետ հանդիպմանը` Հերբեր Զալբերը նշեց, որ քննարկել են տարածաշրջանային իրավիճակին վերաբերող հարցեր, հակամարտության վերաբերյալ սեղանին դրված առաջարկները, մտքեր են  փոխանակել մի քանի այլ արդիական հարցերի վերաբերյալ: Լրագրողները հետաքրքրվեցին, թե ինչո՞ւ հանդիպումը չի անցկացվում Ստեփանակերտում:

«Ես չեմ մոռանում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ այցելելու ծրագրի մասին: Դա, իհարկե, իմ ցանկությունն է: Միակ հարցը, որ ես պետք է հաշվի առնեմ, դա այն է, որ այդպիսի քայլերի համար ես, որպես ԵՄ  հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ, պետք է ճշգրիտ պատկերացում ունենամ բոլոր ներգրավված կողմերի մասին»,-ասաց Հերբերտ Զալբերը:
