Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի խմբագրականից մի հատված.

«Չգիտեմ, թե ինչ քաղաքական նպատակներ է հետապնդում Արցախի պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Սամվել Բաբայանը և ում շահերն է այդ գործիչը ներկայացնում (չնայած կարող եմ ենթադրել, թե ում), բայց նրա վերջին հարցազրույցում տեղ գտած միտքն, իմ կարծիքով, 100 տոկոսով արտացոլում է իրականությունը՝ Ադրբեջանը պատրաստվում է լայնամասշտաբ և երկարատև պատերազմի։ Այդ կանխատեսման օգտին է խոսում թեկուզ այն փաստը, որ ապրիլյան պատերազմից հետո ոչ մի գործնական քայլ չի արվել Վիեննայում և Սանկտ Պետերբուրգում ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունները կյանքի կոչելու ուղղությամբ։ Պարզ է, որ Ադրբեջանին դա պետք չէ։

Եթե որևէ մեկը Հայաստանում կարծում է, որ ղարաբաղյան հարցը կմոռացվի, կմաշվի-կգնա կամ մոտակա պատմական հեռանկարում խաղաղ հանգուցալուծում կստանա, այդ մարդիկ չարաչար սխալվում են։ Եվ խնդիրն այն չէ, որ Իլհամ Ալիևը խելապակաս է կամ նապոլեոնական ամբիցիաներ ունի. պարզապես պատերազմի մշտական սպառնալիքը և բուն պատերազմը նրա իշխանության պահպանման միակ երաշխիքն են։ Առանց բռնապետության Ադրբեջանը կքայքայվի՝ նախևառաջ երկրի ներսում սոցիալական և ազգային խնդիրների ճնշմամբ, ինչպես նաև դրսից իսլամական գործոնի ազդեցության տակ։ Իսկ բռնապետության միակ «հիմնավորումը» պատերազմն է, որն ուղեկցվում է ռազմատենչ հռետորաբանությամբ և ռասիստական հայտարարություններով։ Իհարկե, այդքանով հանդերձ Ադրբեջանը չի համարձակվի վերսկսել ռազմական գործողությունները, եթե դրսի գլխավոր խաղացողներն իսկապես ցանկանան, որ Հարավային Կովկասում խաղաղության լինի։ Այնպես որ՝ այս ամիսների հարաբերական անդորրը ոչ մեկին չպիտի թյուրիմացության մեջ գցի և, այսպես ասած, թուլացնի՝ առջևում պատերազմ է, և մեր պետությանը պետք է դրան պատրաստ լինի։ Թե ինչ է դրա համար անհրաժեշտ՝ բազմիցս ասվել է»,–գրում է թերթի խմբագիրը։
