Եվրոպայի հեծանվավազքի մեծահասակների առաջնությունում Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչ Մհեր Մկրտչյանը լիովին պատրաստ է մրցակցելու ցանկացած մրցակցի հետ:

«Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նման կարծիք հայտնեց Հայաստանի հեծանվասպորտի հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզիչ Արմեն Գյոզալյանը: «Մհերն այն մարզիկներից է, ով եթե այդ պահին պատրաստ չեղավ, ապա ինքնակամ կասեր այդ մասին: Չպետք է մոռանանք, որ Մհերը բավականին փորձառու է և երիտասարդների պայքարում արծաթե մեդալներ ունի: Մենք ոչնչով պակաս չենք մյուս երկրներից: Անելու ենք ամեն ինչ, որ 2020 թվականի Օլիմպիական խաղերի համար ձեռք բերենք ուղեգիր»,-ասաց Գյոզալյանը:

Պատմության մեջ առաջին անգամ Հայաստանը մասնակից է ունենալու հրապարակային հեծանվավազքի Եվրոպայի մեծահասակների առաջնությունում։ Փարիզի մերձակայքում գտնվող Սեն Կանտեն Ան Իվելին քաղաքի հեծանվահրապարակում հոկտեմբերի 19-ին մեկնարկում է Եվրոպայի մեծահասակների առաջնությունը, որին մասնակցում են 35 երկրների 280 հեծանվորդներ: Պատմության մեջ առաջին անգամ Հայաստանը մասնակից է ունենալու այս մրցաշարում. մեր երկիրը ներկայացնելու է 2011 թվականի աշխարհի երիտասարդական առաջնության կրկնակի արծաթե մեդալակիր, Հայաստանի 2016 թվականի բացարձակ չեմպիոն 23-ամա Մհեր Մկրտչյանը: Եվրոպայի առաջնությունում հայ հեծանվորդը մասնակցելու է «Սկրետչ» եւ «Խմբակային մրցավազք» մրցաձեւերին:
