Պենտագոնը Թուրքիային և Իրաքին հարաբերությունները երկխոսությամբ կարգավորելու կոչ է արել

 Պենտագոնը հորդորել է Թուրքիային և Իրաքին իրենց միջև առկա խնդիրները կարգավորել երկխոսության միջոցով: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը` վկայակոչելով թուրքական NTV լրատվամիջոցը, այս մասին լրագրողների հետ ճեպազրույցի ժամանակ ասել է Պենտագոնի խոսնակ Պիտեր Քուքը:

Անդրադառնալով լրագրողներից մեկի այն հարցին, թե արդյոք թուրք զինվորները մասնակցելո՞ւ են Մոսուլի ազատագրման գործողություններին` Քուքը հայտարարել է, որ դա մի հարց է, որը պետք է կարգավորվի միայն Թուրքիայի և Իրաքի կառավարությունների միջև:

Թուրքիայի և Իրաքի հարաբերությունները լարվել են այն բանից հետո, ինչ Թուրքիայի մեջլիսը կողմ է քվեարկել Իրաքումշուրջ 2-հազարանոց զինված ուժերի տեղակայման ժամկետի երկարաձգմանը` դա պատճառաբանելով «ահաբեկչականխմբավորումների դեմ պայքարելու անհրաժեշտությամբ»:

Իրաքը դատապարտել է պաշտոնական Անկարայի նման որոշումը: Պաշտոնական Բաղդադը կատարվածն անվանել էրԻրաքի ինքնիշխանության իրավունքի ոտնահարում` պահանջելով դուրս բերել զորքերն իր տարածքից: Թուրքականկողմը, սակայն, մերժել է այդ պահանջը:

Հոկտեմբերի  5-ին Անկարան և Բաղդադը կանչել էին միմյանց դեսպաններին` հայտնելու իրենց մտահոգությունը խնդրիառնչությամբ: Իրաքը հոկտեմբերի 6-ին ՄԱԿ անվտանգության խորհրդից պահանջել է արտակարգ նիստ գումարել`կապված իր տարածքում թուրքական զինված ուժերի ներկայության անօրինականության հետ:

Թուրքական զորքերը տեղակայված են Մոսուլի Բաշիքայի ռազմաբազայում: Դրանք այդտեղ են հաստատվել դեռևս 2015թվականից` «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման դեմ պայքարում իրաքցի զինվորներին և քրդականփեշմերգային վարժեցնելու հիմնավորմամբ:
