Այս լուսանկարը արվել է հարսանեկան արարողությունից մի քանի օր առաջ` 2005-ի հունվարի 11-ին` ԱՄՆ-ում: Քեյթի մոտ քաղցկեղի վերջին աստիճան էր, և չնայած անտանելի ցավերին, ներքին օրգանների վատ աշխատանքին, մորֆինի անընդհատ ներարկումներին, Քեյթը ամենայն մանրամասներով պատրաստվում էր իր հարսանիքին: Քեյթին հաջողվել էր կանգնեցնել քաղցկեղի առաջխաղացումը, որպեսզի կարողանար ապրել իր կյանքի ամենաերջանիկ օրը:
Վերջին շրջանում շնչելը նրա համար շատ էր բարդացել, քանի որ քաղցկեղը ծածկել էր նրա թոքերը և հասել սրտին...
Ստիպված օգտագործում էին թթվածին և մորֆի, որպեսզի ինչ-որ կերպ հանդարտեցնեն նույնիսկ թմրանյութերի ազդեցության տակ զգացվող ցավերը...
Նրա փեսացուն` Նիկը, գրեթե տեղափոխվել էր այն հիվանդանոց, որտեղ բուժվում էր Քեյթը: Նա աշխատում էր գիշերը, իսկ ցերեկը անցկացնում սիրելիի մոտ: Նա սիրահարված էր Քեյթին դեռևս դպրոցից...
Քեյթի կողքին էր նաև մայրը, ով աշխատանքը թողել էր դստեր հետ ավելի շատ ժամանակ անցկացնելու համար...
Ցավերի պատճառով Քեյթը ամբողջ գիշեր չքնեց, իսկ առավոտյան սկսեց պատրաստվել հարսանիքին...
Զգեստը ստիպված էին մի քանի անգամ ձևափոխել` պայմանավորված Քեյթի` քաշի անընդհատ կորստի հետ: Նայելով հիվանդ և հյուծված աղջկան, ով ժպիտը դեմքին ամուսնանում էր, կարելի է ասել, որ երջանկությունը հասանելի է, և կարևոր չէ, որքան է այն տևում:
Նա ցանկանում էր իր մասին բոլորը հիշեն այնպիսին, ինչպիսին իր ավարտական երեկոյին էր:
Եվ նրան դա հաջողվեց... Նա իսկապես գեղեցիկ հարս էր...
Զույգը պսակադրվեց 2005-ին:
Հարսանեկան խնջույքին Քեյթի համար Նիկը նույնիսկ սերենադ երգեց...
Իսկ հարսանիքից 5 օր անց Քեյթը մահացավ: Նա 21 տարեկան էր...
