Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի խմբագրականից մի հատված.
«Հիլարի Քլինթոնը, եթե նույնիսկ երբևէ խոստացել Է ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, միևնույն Է՝ դա չի անի ԱՄՆ նախագահ դառնալու դեպքում։ Դոնալդ Թրամփը դժվար թե երբևԷ լսած լինի Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին, կասկածում եմ անգամ, որ նա գոնե մոտավորապես գիտի, թե որտեղ է աշխարհի քարտեզի վրա գտնվում Հայաստանը։ Այնպես որ, ԱՄՆ նախագահի ներկա թեկնածուներից ոչ մեկն այս առումով մեզ հետաքրքիր չէ։ Ուրիշ հարց, որ մեր հետաքրքրություններն, իմ կարծիքով չպիտի սահմանափակվեն Ցեղասպանությամբ։
Իհարկե, խնդիրը նախևառաջ վերաբերում է ԱՄՆ քաղաքացի հանդիսացող մեր հայրենակիցներին։ Վստահ եմ, որ նրանց մեծամասնությունն ընտրություն կկատարի՝ ելնելով նրանից, թե ինչպես են Քլինթոնի կամ Թրամփի տնտեսական ծրագրերը նպաստելու կամ հակառակը՝ խոչընդոտելու իրենց բարեկեցությանը։ Դա նորմալ է, այդպես էլ պետք է լինի։ Աշխարհի ցանկացած կետում, որտեղ ընտրությունների նման մի բան է տեղի ունենում, մարդիկ քվեարկում են իրենց նյութական շահերից ելնելով։ Պարզապես Հայաստանի պես երկրներում ոչ ոք ոչ մի ծրագրի չի հավատում, և շատերը գերադասում են «նաղդ» վերցնել իրենց 5-10 հազար դրամը՝ «շնից մազ պոկելու» տրամաբանությամբ»,–գրում է թերթի խմբագիրը։
