Young Musician from the “Born in Artsakh” Program, Arsen Safaryan, Performed at the Anniversary Concert of the “Artis Futura” Foundation with the Moscow “Russian Philharmonia” Symphony Orchestra
ՄՇԱԿՈՒՅԹOn October 27, the anniversary concert of the “Artis Futura” Foundation took place at the Moscow International House of Music, bringing together the foundation’s scholarship recipients and young talents.
Recognizing the cultural preservation efforts of the “Born in Artsakh” educational program, the foundation invited its beneficiary, Artsakh-born trumpeter Arsen Safaryan, to perform at the concert.
Arsen Safaryan performed Alexander Harutyunyan’s Trumpet Concerto with the Moscow “Russian Philharmonia” Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Mikhail But, receiving a warm reception from the audience.
“Our gala concerts have already become a true celebration of music, providing valuable experience for our young performers. Our long-standing partner is the Moscow ‘Russian Philharmonia’ Symphony Orchestra. Over the past five years, our foundation’s main goal has been to create a platform that helps our children in their professional development, while also serving as a bridge connecting talented young Armenian musicians from different countries. We aim to foster their collaboration, creative growth, and strengthen their connection to Armenia, so that children living outside its borders remain connected to their historic homeland,” said Araksia Musheghyan, President of the “Artis Futura” Foundation.
During the gala concert, works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Maurice Ravel, Pedro Iturralde, George Gershwin, Komitas, Aram Khachaturian, Arno Babajanyan, and Eduard Mirzoyan were also performed.
According to Hasmik Chakhmakhchyan, President of the Foundation, “Children are our future. Their upbringing, holistic development, and education determine the level at which Armenian culture will be represented in the world tomorrow. That is why we support their professional growth in every possible way and invest in their development.”
The collaboration between the Artis Futura Foundation and the “Born in Artsakh” program aims to support the creative growth of young musicians from Artsakh, strengthen their professional skills, and create new opportunities for them to perform on international stages.

The “Born in Artsakh” program was initiated by conductor and UNICEF National Ambassador Sergey Smbatyan and is implemented by the public organization Arvest23.
The program started in 2023 following the forced displacement from Artsakh, aiming to ensure continuous education and professional development for talented young musicians displaced from the region.
It currently supports 23 children, providing multi-level assistance including professional training, participation in international masterclasses, foreign language courses, cultural visits, stage experience, and monthly scholarships. The program’s mission is to preserve Artsakh’s cultural identity and ensure the continuity of this heritage through the younger generation.
