ՀԱՍԱՐԱԿՈՒԹՅՈՒՆSuren Parsyan, Associate Professor at the Armenian State University of Economics and PhD in Economics, has been invited to participate in the “Sagarmanthan: The Great Oceans Dialogue 2025” international forum, taking place October 27–29, 2025, in Mumbai, India.
Organized by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in collaboration with India’s Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPS&W), the forum brings together high-level representatives from government, industry, academia, civil society, and international organizations to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the global maritime economy.
This year’s forum will focus on five strategic themes:
- Reimagining Connectivity: New materials, markets, and policies
- Free Fleets: Oceanic coalitions
- The Blue Cities Paradigm: Finance, services, and human capital
- Leveling the Blue Pyramid: Empowering coastal communities
- Technological Frontiers: Planet, efficiency, and profit
Suren Parsyan’s participation offers Armenia a unique opportunity to highlight its economic, transport, and regional cooperation potential. His presentation will address Armenia’s role in the global blue economy and the development of new international partnerships in science, education, and economic policy.
“Although Armenia is landlocked, it has a strong interest in the blue economy, logistics, and international trade networks. This forum provides an opportunity to position Armenia as a regional economic bridge and platform for investment cooperation,” said Suren Parsyan.
The event will feature thematic discussions, summit sessions, seminars, and networking opportunities, with outcomes expected to influence the development of global maritime policy.
